As a staff we have a RIGHT to work in a Christ centred community.

Therefore we have a RESPONSIBILITY to:

  • Pray as a staff community
  • Reflect the gospel values in our dealings with other staff.
  • Express and promote our faith within the school and wider community.
  • Involve our school Chaplain in the daily life of the school.
  • Actively contribute to the Parish & liturgical life of our school, e.g  Sacramental Programs, Masses & Liturgies, feast days, community visits, charity events, special days - Mothers and Father?s Day Lunch, Grandparent?s Day etc.
  • Promote sense of community through programs, e.g. Buddies, Peer Support, Peer Tutor program, Class Parent Program etc.
  • Value, promote and build upon our history and traditions 

As a staff we have a RIGHT to work in a school climate where quality education is valued & promoted.

Therefore we have a RESPONSIBILITY to:

  • Provide a positive learning environment
  • Adhere to the Board of Studies documents
  • Engage in relevant professional development.
  • Provide adequate resources
  • Encourage participation of parents/families.
  • Work in partnership with families & keep them informed.
  • Adopt a variety of strategies to address different learning styles
  • Recognise and cater for individual differences of students.
  • Promote learning as a life long journey
  • Equip students with life long learning skills.
  • Ensure class programmes, classroom management, assessment and reporting practices are completed on time and to a professional standard.
  • Involve the whole community and its resources in the education process.

As a staff we have a RIGHT to support from the leadership team within the school and from one another.

Therefore we have a RESPONSIBILITY to:

  • Promote a climate of trust & understanding in our dealings with one another.
  •  Promote a sense of belonging amongst one another.
  • Be inclusive of other staff members.
  • Support and encourage one another.
  • Work collaboratively and share ideas and resources.
  • Implement change in a positive and supportive way.
  • Invite consultation and discussion- provide an environment where people feel safe in offering opinions and support.
  • Avail ourselves of leadership opportunities within staff.
  • Strive towards Christ?s example of leadership.
  • Work as a team.
  • Celebrate special events in our lives such as birthdays etc.
  • Undertake our duties assigned to our role to the best of our ability.
